Excitement flourishes at the Fort Dodge Chamber of Commerce these days as we prepare for one of the biggest events of the year - Fall Fest. Scheduled for Saturday, September 8, the event continues to draw young and old alike to share in a day full of great fun and delight.

Fall Fest will definitely bring out the kid in you! The entertainment, vastly unique and always changing, promises to be very memorable. Planned activities for the day include: a Pancake Breakfast, Bike Ride and Poker run, Cruiz-In Car Show, Petting Zoo, Dog Show, Dunk Tank, Artists and Crafters, Small business Fair, Historic Displays, and plenty of live entertainment and hands-on activities for children of all ages. Plus, we are planning to add some new and exciting activities for this year.

Fall Fest continues it's efforts to promote our city, as well as the businesses and organizations who provide so many services to our community. Clubs and organizations use the event to promote their missions and raise money for their projects. You will enjoy food and hands-on activities for the kids.

For those who love entertainment, our Central Stage will be bursting with song and dance, as local entertainers share their talents with our community. Central Stage Entertainment is going to give visitors a chance to see the outstanding talents we have here in our own back yard!

Registrations are being taken for all events through the Chamber office. Simply call us at 515-955- 5500, or stop by our office at 1406 Central Avenue to get signed up. It's simply too great an opportunity to miss!

All in all, September 17th promises to be a day of delight for area residents and visitors. Regardless of your age, your hobby, your interests, this event is sure to give you pleasure. Our community has so much to be proud of, and much of that pride can be seen at Fall Fest. As we come together to celebrate life in Webster County, we will enjoy the "sense of community" that seems to be present at Fall Fest every year. Fall Fest - sure to build pride in Fort Dodge and promote all we have to offer here!

Booth spaces are available in the following areas. Please read the instructions below, and click on the appropriate category of interest to locate a printable application form. The signed agreement and registration form must be returned to the Chamber by August 18, 2007. After that date, there is a $5.00 late fee.

BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 18.

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR GROUPS PARTICIPATING IN FALL FEST

1. All businesses/organizations participating in Fall Fest must register at the Fort Dodge Area Chamber of Commerce (P.O. Box T) before August 26. There will be a $5 late fee added after August 18.
2. The registration fee is $35 (an extra $5 per booth if electricity is needed). This fee must be paid at the time of registration. The fee is non refundable. Fall Fest will go on regardless of weather.
3. Chamber members will receive one booth space at no charge, however, you still need to send in your registration form by the deadline.
4. Booths will provide their own tables, chairs, electrical cords, signs, etc. for their booths. No tables, chairs, etc. will be provided by the Fall Fest Committee.
5. The booth hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please plan to remain open the entire time.
6. Confirmation and location assignment will be sent to your organization one week prior to Fall Fest. Final decision of location will be sent to you with a confirmation of your participation in Fall Fest.
7. All booths must provide your: Iowa Sales Tax# and proof of liability insurance, before the event.
8. All groups are to register items for sale prior to event. If item is not approved by the Fall Fest Committee, the Fall Fest Committee has the authority to ask the group not to sell that item. No alcoholic beverages permitted.
9. All participants must set up their booth in the assigned area on the street, not on the sidewalks. No vehicles will be allowed to park on the street or sidewalk.
10. If you are a Small Business Food Vendor, remember you must be a non-franchised business and sell only one food item.
